Ghent 2024
Emerging from Celtic settlements in the area of the confluence of the Lys and the Scheldt, Ghent grew into one of the grandest cities of the Middle Ages. Centuries later, it will be once again the epicenter of Europe as Ghent 2024 | 4th International Forum will take place in April 2024.
All eyes will be on Ghent and Belgium in 2024 with Ghent as the European Youth Capital, the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, and the elections for the European Parliament and other levels of government. Ghent 2024 will take place at the confluence of these important events, thus making it the ultimate moment to invite European youth to Belgium.
Ghent 2024 will gather 250 participants from the 1st of April until the 7th of April. For a week, the city will be transformed into the epicentre of youth engagement around the theme: “Confluence: A Year of Change”. Ghent 2024 will be a platform to empower young people from around the continent to take part in policy-making, engage with decision-makers, interact with others from different communities, and acquire the skills necessary to fully partake in today and tomorrow’s society.
Brace yourselves as the entire EYP Network comes together to redefine the future!
